1997 Sweet Adelines International Quartet Champions
Denise, Marcia, Pat and Connie won the coveted title of Sweet Adelines International Quartet Champions in the fall of 1996 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with Hurricane Josephine knocking at the door of the Florida coast! This exemplary quartet had been singing together for just nine years when they brought the the Sweet Adelines audiences to their feet and judges to tears with their sweet ballad, "Pal of My Cradle Days" and had them rolling in the aisles with laughter at the 4-Star Collection rendition of Weird Al Yankovic's hit, "Lasagna!" 4-Star Collection is not currently taking performances, but you can still purchase their timeless recordings by contacting them at fourstarqueen@msn.com or 651-777-2101. Grand Design was founded in the fall of 2009 when long-time friends Derek Glenna (Vallee de Croix Director) and Matt Hall (Croix Chordsmen Director) made good on a promise to some day sing together in a quartet. Through Derek's connections to both Mankato and Hilltop choruses, they recruited Don Hettinga and Leonard Huls to fill the other parts. As a group, they have over 20 years of barbershop experience. They enjoy a wide variety of musical styles from singing in classic male choral groups to rock and roll bands. This amazingly talented quartet can sing for your event by calling Matt at 715-410-8818. Becoming an official quartet in November 2007, they have been having lots of fun singing and shopping throughout the region and beyond. Lyla, LeAnn, Carolyn and Vickie became Vibe in October of 2010. There was an instant connection when they got together. The chords began to ring right away and after a few weeks they knew this was meant to be. "It's about the music. I think all of us have been singing since we could talk." says Vickie. One thing is certain, the members of Vibe LOVE to sing. The Vibe repertoire includes jazz (standards and contemporary), pop and spiritual music. Representing Vallee de Croix and Twin Cities Show Chorus, Vibe performs across the Twin Cities Metro, Western Wisconsin, and Southeastern Minnesota.
